ХРОНОСТРАТИГРАФІЧНА ОСНОВА РЕГІОНАЛЬНОЇ СХЕМИ НИЖНЬОГО ДОКЕМБРІЮ УКРАЇНСЬКОГО ЩИТА

There is no general chronostratigraphic dismemberment of the Lower Precambrian, which is clearly stated in "The International Stratigraphic Handbook" [1]. However, the existing dissection scheme of the Precambrian Ukrainian Shield, which has been in effect for more than 20 years, is referred to as "chronostratigraphic scheme", although it does not correspond to this name according to the principles of its construction. Meanwhile, the modern level of geological and formational study and dismemberment of the Lower Precambrian of the Ukrainian Shield provides grounds for building a regional stratigraphic scheme on true and not distorted, chronostratigraphic bases. This paper presents these grounds.
