Abstract

The U-Pb and Lu-Hf isotopic systems of zircon crystals from granitoids of the Osnytsk block were studied using the LA-ICP-MS method at Curtin University (Perth, Australia). Zircons from the same samples were also dated using the classic uranium-lead isotope method. The obtained age for zircon from these rocks is in the age interval of 1.96-1.98 Ga years, which corresponds to the time of formation of granitoids of the Osnytsky block. The obtained εHf for all granitoids indicates a crustal source of the original magma with a short crustal prehistory.
