Abstract

The example of the quarry area «Pivdennyi» shows that large-scale development of iron ore deposits has caused a continuous anthropogenic transformation of the geological environment within the strip of the Saksagan suite of the Saksagan ore field of the Kryvyi Rih iron ore basin. New geological bodies were formed - technogenic collapse breccias (technobreccias), which comprise significant areas of the subsoil, with a complete disruption of the primary stratification of the source rocks, their mixing and compaction with a decrease in their bulk weight and strength, an increase in porosity, moisture capacity, changes in the chemical and mineralogical composition of the primary native-born rocks.
