Abstract

The geochemical features of the coal from the Verchniodniprovske deposit of the Dniprobas, situated within the Dnipro megablock of the Ukrainian Shield, were investigated. It is demonstrated that the crystalline rocks of the Ukrainian Shield are the source of rare and trace elements in coal. The methods of migration of elements into the peatland and the possible forms of fixation of elements in the organic matter of coal are demonstrated. For the first time, microcomponents of coal, which are associated with certain rare and trace elements, were discovered.
