Abstract

Brusyliv tectonic zone of the Ukrainian Shield was studied. It was found that high concentrations of gold (0.07 g/t) are characteristic of gabbro-amphibolite, while the average content (median) in the rocks is 0.015 g/t. After calculating the Clark concentration (CC) of gold, 3 groups of rocks were distinguished: high content (CC 2–5), close to Clark concentration (CC 0.8–1.2) and reduced content (CC 0.2–0.8). It was established that gold is most concentrated in gabbro-amphibolite (CC 5), granite-biotite gneiss (CC 4); the least – in pyroxenite and garnet-biotite gneiss (CC 0.2).
