Abstract

The analysis of ilmenite from granitoids of shields and fold belts has shown that there are slight differences in the mineral's chemical composition depending on the geotectonic position of the granitoids. Ilmenite from platform formations is characterized by higher coefficients of iron and titanium. Ilmenite from the shields' granitoids, including those of the Ukrainian shield, contains a higher content of manganese and a lower content of magnesium compared to ilmenite from the granitoids of fold belts.
